  Addition and Subtraction of decimals is practically the same as addition and subtraction with whole numbers.

What is most important is ensuring all the decimal point lines up with each other.

When working with whole numbers, we actually do the same thing using the notion of the implied decimal point.

If this procedure is not done then we may add units to tens or tens to hundreds etc. instead of the correct method of add the same columns ie. units to units and so on.
