Multiplying Mixed Numbers

Steps to multiply mixed numbers :
(i) Convert all mixed numbers to improper fractions.

(ii) Cancel out any factors common to both the numerators and the denominators of the fractions.

(iii) Multiply the numerators giving the new numerator, and multiply the denominators giving a new denominator.

(If the result is an improper fraction, it can now be converted to a mixed number).
